Alcohol detox programs?

I live in Montrose and I realized I have a problem, which has become much more obvious now that I've been trapped at home for a couple weeks. I want to stop cold turkey but I've read it can be dangerous (I also doubt my ability to do it); does anyone have any experience with detox/alcohol abuse programs in my area, or other advice in general? I really want to stop drinking.
