Airport Rideshare Nightmare

I flew in yesterday around 5:30pm. I followed the signs to the rideshare area, and tried to book an Uber. It wouldn’t connect to a driver for multiple minutes after multiple tries. I was not the only one having this problem, either. Finally I tried Lyft, and got it to connect. I then followed the signs outside, and an employee told me where to stand.

Long story short… I ended up standing there with about 15-20 other people waiting 30+ minutes for a rideshare because the airport changed the pickup spot yesterday, and no drivers knew where to go. I had drivers cancelling on me, yelling at me on the phone when I was trying to tell them where I was… it was such a headache. None of us knew what to do, and it was like we were stranded.

Finally, after about 30 minutes of booking, cancelling, them cancelling me, drivers getting lost and turning around, you name it, I got a Lyft.

So if you’re needing a rideshare from the airport anytime soon, plan way ahead and be prepared for delays.
