Air Products eyes $190M Houston-area hydrogen project

Pennsylvania-based Air Products & Chemicals Inc. (NYSE: APD) is planning a new hydrogen and carbon monoxide plant in the Houston area.

In an application for tax incentives on the project, the company said is looking to build a plant that would convert natural gas and oxygen into carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The plant would be in La Porte, and it could produce up to 18 million cubic feet of hydrogen and 33 million cubic feet of carbon monoxide each day.
