After almost 2 years, KPOT finally opens in Houston on Bellaire, west of Beltway 8

I've been waiting for this to finally open after originally trying it in Philly some years ago. Thought it was never going to happen after all the coming-soon signs displayed the past couple years. This is their first location here, but I think there's another one coming near Willowbrook. Kind of weird it's not on the Chinatown side with the other korean eats, instead it's directly in front of Kim Son

For dinner, it's $28.99 for either hotpot or kbbq, +$5 for both. For now, it's kinda cheaper then the other AYCE places nearby, like Handam ($35) for kbbq or Shabu Zone ($32) for hotpot. Food was pretty good imo (I'm a sucker for short rib/marinated galbi lol), but service can be slow since waiters are held up taking large orders for tables nearby. Food comes out real quick once its entered in the system. I believe it's walk-ups only and can only reserve a spot on waitlist in-person.
