Affordable security gate keypad/intercom that can be opened remotely?

We have a security gate that currently operates on a timer or with a "clicker."

We would like to add a keypad so we can grant access without adding more clickers, and we would also like the ability to open the gate when we are not on the property for someone who has neither (for like emergency access.) Audio intercom is fine, video not necessary. We are on a limited budget so I am looking at something in the hundreds of dollars vs. thousands and DIY if possible.

Anyone have a good solution?
