Affordable housing near MD Anderson cancer research center

Been looking for short-term housing near MD Anderson – 1515 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030. Does anyone know/recommend any affordable housing near the location?

Edit: Furnished apartment, 1 Bedroom. I'll be in Houston for about 2.5 months (from June) and I'm hoping I can spend less than 3000 – I'm not sure if that's a realistic budget? I made a few calls and I had a few people tell me they charge 80-100 per night for their rooms.

I'm also open to rooming with someone who would also be around the area during that time
