Advice on Houston music scene/ studio jobs/apprenticeship

Howdy. I’m moving to Houston due to an unexpected family circumstance and I am very interested in getting a job in the local music industry. I am a MC/Producer/Songwriter with production experience in Ableton and some mastering experience. I went to a production school for a year. However, I have zero professional experience. I’d be willing to take a modest position if it meant I could grow. Any tips/pointers? I lean towards hip-hop/electro but I’m also experienced in rock/singer-songwriter type production.
