Advice On Breaking Lease Process In Houston

Hey Guys, hope everything is working well!

I’m currently in the process of breaking my current lease to find an apartment that’s more affordable and cheaper, considering my situation the apartment that I’m in currently has made me unsatisfied due to the high expenses, hidden fees and overall just the inconvenience from the leasing office when help is needed, now I’m planning to leave this apartment in January but I needed a few tips and advice before doing so. I’m aware that most apartment complexes will make you pay the remaining amount until they find a tenant but I live in a hot market which is downtown Houston and I’m pretty sure they can find a tenant in like a week so one of my questions is will it be smart to pay December‘s rent then let them know I’m moving January 1 and my girlfriend is willing to let me stay with her to save up money to eventually get another apartment and there’s many apartments that you could rent after breaking a lease simply due to the way you communicate with them and explain the situation of what happened. I know there’s many people who successfully was able to rent in the apartment after breaking the lease, what are the most convenient ways of getting out of this lease. I’m in a Camden apartment complex by the way.
