Adult Swim Classes/Indoor Pool Access?

yo, im a grown ass man, i cant swim, would really like to be able to. for context, i spent 13 years in the army, and the fittest shape id ever been in was when i was stationed at ft. sam houston (san antonio, tx), after pt, i would go to the indoor pool, where they would play some generic orchestral music, and i would churn water back and forth. the floaty belt i wore probably didnt help my look. the kindly septagenerians there swimming would be supportive, as supportive as they could be as they gracefully darted through the water, easily lapping me. now that im out the army and have more freedom and time, i would LOVE to learn to swim properly. anyone have any suggestions? i live in the hyde park region (major intersection, shepard and grey st.) im not worried about the price if its a worthwhile suggestion.
