Adult 18+ in-car driving lessons

Hi all, need to learn how to drive, I have 8 weeks to go before I need to drive from home to work (from Heights to Woodlands).

Can you all recommend the best strategy here? I have my husband who can teach me but I'm not sure if that's the fastest route to learn or maybe should I just go to driving school? (hoping to pay less $500 but not sure if that's realistic)

I have my learner's permit already (although it has been expired for 3 months without being converted).

Any thoughts/advice is much appreciated.
