Acclaimed Houston chef to reopen 2 restaurants, others offering pickup

Underbelly Hospitality owner and chef Chris Shepherd will reopen two of his restaurants for dine-in service on May 22, the same day restaurants statewide are allowed to expand capacity to 50%.

Customers will find Shepherd’s staff executing Covid-19 safety standards, which include washing their hands every 30 minutes, sanitizing table tops every 30 minutes, and having an attendee ensure there is only one person in restroom at a time and sanitizing the area before the next patron enters.
