AC Replacement Companies

I’m on the southwest part of town and need both of my AC units replaced. One is a 2.5 ton and the other is a 3.5 ton.

I just got a quote for 14k for both units (Carrier brand 16 seer). They would replace the inside and outside parts but leave all of the existing duct work in place. They also want to up the size to a 3 and 4 ton units.

Does this sound like a reasonable upgrade and price? I’m a little concerned about the larger units causing higher humidity in our Houston summers because they won’t run as long.

Anyone know do a good company for a second opinion?
