About these low bonds

Over the last few months I’ve noticed a significant increase of stories here and in the local news about criminals being let loose for low bonds as shockingly low as 100$ In the worst case. I want to find out how many are on average being released with these criminally low bonds and who the judges are that permit this.

Would anyone be willing to share a personal story about their experiences with this or someone they know?
