Abandoning apartment due to emergency – what can I expect?

Hello everyone. To make a long story short – my girlfriend came into crippling financial issues last week and can no longer afford her apartment. No money saved since she’s living paycheck to paycheck and just completely screwed now. She has no family here to depend on or ask for help, so that’s out of the question. Rent was due yesterday, but even if her apartment gives her until Friday to pay that completely throws off all her other bills. I bought a house last year, we talked about it yesterday and came to an agreement for her to come stay with me. Moving forward, what can she expect to happen/what will happen within the next coming weeks? This is the first time either of us experience this, any advice or knowledge on this would be much appreciated. Thank y’all so much.
