‘A model for the country’: Gov. Abbott, legislators celebrate new laws at annual higher education conference

This year, the Texas Legislature invested over $5 billion in higher education for the 2024-25 biennium; redesigned how community colleges are funded; and passed a bill banning diversity, equity and education offices at public institutions.
