Taking my family to their first game tomorrow. Couple questions

Scored 4 tickets and a parking pass from a friend and I’m taking my family to their first game tomorrow. I am assuming there is no tailgating allowed? Or is there? Will shops/restaurants/food be open inside the stadium? Just hoping to make the best of their first experience at NRG. I know it’s not the most ideal time to take someone for their first time.
