It is hotter than blue blazes outside but don’t let that keep you from seeing live music this weekend. Not a huge list this week but great artists nonetheless. And Weird Al is in town…

1. Hickoids – blending country and punk into a style they call cow-punk, this one of a kind 40 year old band from Austin released a new single this year and will be found at the Continental Club Saturday night.
2. EST Gee – this southern rap artist with a trap twist from Louisville, Kentucky will be found at House of Blues Saturday night.
3. Vosotros, Elyze, Tress Marfil, The Black Velvets – two bands from Houston, one from the Valley and one from Dallas. All will have a fresh take on latin rock Friday night at The Continental Club.
