Public Testimony on Redistricting Houston Votes

Hey r/Houston,

There is some serious fuckery going on right now regarding redistricting of maps as outlined in House Bill 4.

From Texas Freedom Network: “Governor Abbott is using the special session to push Trump's political agenda instead of dealing with the real problems Texans face. Tomorrow, the House is hosting their final public hearing on the controversial, Trump-backed plan to redraw voting maps long before the next census. We need to unite and raise our voices.”

Will you let the House of Representatives know how you feel by writing or calling them today? They will hear testimony tomorrow morning at 10am.

Texas residents who wish to electronically submit comments related to HB 4 without testifying in person can do so until the hearing is adjourned. To submit written comments online, visit the House Public Comment page: https://comments.house.texas.gov/home?c=c055

Even better, you can speak directly to the folks on the Redistricting Committee by calling and emailing them too. 👇
