Unsafe working conditions…
So for a brief overview: the delivery trucks we drive for work haven't had AC for almost 5 months now… When we complai management just tells us to roll down our windows and drink water and to stop complaining… We deliver overnight so after midnight it doesn't get too bad, but one of the trucks pumps out heat so regardless of rolling down the windows the cab stays anywhere between 85-95 degrees.
Management claims they don't have the budget to do repairs, but a supervisor I trust says they have the money, they just don't do repairs because it effects their bonuses (would could just be hearsay, but if you worked with these guys it wouldn't be a stretch for that to be true)
So my question is this: who would be the best agency to report this situation to? Texas Workforce Commission?
Some nights it's gotten so hot I feel like I'm gonna pass out, which definitely isn't a good idea when driving a 50,000+ pound vehicle.
There's a lot of other shady, underhanded stuff management does, but I feel getting the AC situation addressed first would help a lot.
