Anyone have kids in Wharton Dual Language Academy?

We’re considering (heavily) leaving Austin for the Houston public school system, specially to provide Spanish language education for our daughter. My wife speaks Spanish. I have the same proficiency as my 2 year old.

All that to say.. it appears that the Wharton Academy is our best non-private school option. Curious if anyone knows about the school, whether we can get in without the lottery if we’re zoned there, and general experiences.

We’re also open to other options but this is the best we’ve found. I’m from h-town so leaving Austin was always in the cards. The crazy home price growth of recent makes it easy to hit the sell button here and come back to your fine city.
