NES Schools HISD question

So I just accepted my first teaching position at HISD, and it’s an NES school. I’ve never taught prior, I was a paraprofessional for 2 years before in a different non NES school. I’ve seen some of the stuff they’ve incorporated into the NES schools like timed slides, the Do Now’s, and my previous school did a lot of the same stuff but not the timed slides. I’m a little skeptical and not sure what to expect really I’ve heard terrible things about NES schools, but I’ve heard great things too (Mainly the pay). I’d love to hear any feedback yall can give me. For further details i’m 24, and prior military, the person who hired me expressed relief Im a service-member as I know all about regulations, and upholding expectations. Again, any information or tips would be greatly appreciated thank you.
