Mullins or Melton

With the trade deadline officially heating up, I have a question for everyone:

Suppose he can be had for cheap, would you rather go with a vet lefty outfielder who is consistent if currently underperforming in Mullins, or roll the dice with a rookie like Melton for the lefty outfielder role?
