Activities to do with parents in buffalo bayou

Hello! I’m visiting the buffalo bayou park with my parents this weekend and was wondering about the activities offered there. My parents are of old age and can’t walk too far out (maybe a mile or two). I wanted to visit the cistern but they are closed for some time, 😕. Any recommendations will be appreciated!!
