Houston City Beat recently interviewed the team at Vocational Technical Academy in Houston, Texas for an article on the Houston Creators Series.Vocational Technical Academy teaches men and women proper hands-on training in the electrical or HVAC Field so they can begin careers and possibly start their own business one day. Maria Diamond has a passion for the school and started the programs because she wanted to help the community grow and help individuals create a better life for their families and themselves.The Vocational Technical Academy focuses on recruiting high school seniors and people seeking a career in HVAC and Electrical Industry.We asked Maria, what has been her favorite success story from the school so far. She told us that they have not been able to promote the program as much this year due to COVID but that everyone was very excited about the first two students who graduated from the program in November.The education team at The Vocational Technical Academy is motivated by the community and how through their efforts they are able to help the students in their program.Whenever Houston City Beat interviews a Houston Creator, we always as them what their favorite place to eat is.
