Question about NRG parking and riding the redline.

We are coming to town and staying at a hotel near 635 and Westheimer. We are headed to NRG stadium. We thought about riding the redline train. Is this a better idea than parking close to the stadium? Parking is crazy expensive or kinda far of a walk.

Is there a preferred spot to park that is safe to catch the train?

Is the train safe? I’ve ridden public transit all over the country. Just don’t want to deal with any shadyness.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
