Travel to/from airport

Hi everyone-I have got tickets for the Jags game on November 9th and will be flying over from England to watch. I will actually be travelling from Baton Rouge as my son will be at LSU so am looking for travel advice. We are looking at flying early morning of the game then back up to Baton Rouge later after the game. I know it will be busy getting away after the game so am looking at getting a later flight. What is the transport like going to/from the airport? Is there much going on around the stadium after the games? Looking forward to visiting Houston for the first time!
