Increased police Presence on 45

Is anyone else noticing this? Have been commuting south in the AM north in the PM for about a year, this past week is the first time I’ve seen so many traffic cops since moving to Houston. Does anyone know why they suddenly care to enforce traffic laws and only on 45?
