How much money goes into commuting?

Wanted to know what y'all estimate you spend every year purely on commuting to and from work. Gas, car maintenance, etc. Currently pondering two job offers, one remote that pays less and one in office that pays more, trying to gauge how commuting equals them out cost wise. I'm not actually in the city limits but the greater Houston area so my commute would naturally be a little longer, but I'm still directly adjacent.

I've seen general estimates online but from the talk I've seen it seems like people feel commuting in this area is a lot worse than others, so I'd be interested to hear what y'all estimate.
