United Airlines vows to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 100% by 2050
United Airlines vowed Dec. 10 to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions 100% by 2050.
The Chicago-based airline (Nasdaq: UAL) said it will complete that goal by becoming the first airline to invest millions of dollars in carbon capture technology known as direct air capture. It will also expand development and usage of sustainable aviation fuel.
