Duck N Bao Memorial – Terrible customer service

I had a terrible experience there. I wanted to have flat rice noodles but instead of beef as they have on the menu I wanted to substitute chicken. This is for religious reason. Protein substitution is so common place in literally every Chinese restaurant. The waiter said that the cooks hate modifying the menu and it couldn’t be accommodated. I asked to speak to the manager who then said the same thing. While he said he was sympathetic his hand were tied. What????? You can pick your protein of choice for lo mein. How hard is it to do the same for flat rice noodles.

I was so annoyed by the poor service I said I was going to leave if this was the case. To which the manger said fine. Mind you I had ordered three other dishes. Not only did the restaurant miss out in 80 dollar but the waiter missed out in 20 percent all because they couldn’t add chicken! Terrible business practice. Also in case youre wondering I called the other duck n bao location and they had no issues with substitution of protein.

Has anybody heard of something so ridiculous or am I over reacting.
