Unpopular Opinion – Carlos Hyde & DeAndre Hopkins

Losing Carlos Hyde was more detrimental to the Texans than losing DeAndre Hopkins was. Of course I don't mean that Hyde is a better player than Hopkins, Hop is the best receiver in the league. However, I firmly believe that if we had kept Hopkins, we'd be in a similar position to where we are right now, our receiving core is basically the only bright spot on our team apart from Watson. But the step down from Hyde to David Johnson has been huge.

Watching Hyde tonight breaking impressive run after impressive run has only cemented this belief I've been pondering for a while.
