Trill Burgers Is Introducing Its Own Town at the Houston Rodeo This Year

Welcome to Trill Town, baby
Houston rapper Bun B kickstarted local smash burger sensation Trill Burgers as a pop-up that traveled to major events and concerts around the country, including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where it sold thousands of burgers starting in 2022. But this year, as the Rodeo’s official show sponsor, Trill Burgers is going bigger: It’s introducing its own town.
According to a Trill Burgers representative, Trill Town will occupy a whopping 9,000-square-foot standalone space on NRG Park grounds from March 4 through March 23 this year. Located just inside the McNee Road entrance gate off Kirby Drive, the tented, Trill-themed area will be an interactive destination complete with a DJ booth, games, a full bar, and a lemonade stand offering freshly squeezed Trill Lemonade and dirty sodas.

Attendees can get their hands on two new Trill Burgers dishes made in collaboration with Truth BBQ pitmaster Leonard Botello IV: the Truth BBQ Brisket Burger and the Truth BBQ brisket fries, both of which will be available exclusively in Rodeo’s Trill Town. Trill Tenders, Trill Burger’s sister restaurant, will also make its Rodeo debut, serving boxes of fried chicken tenders and Cajun crinkle-cut fries, plus chicken sandwiches served with Trill Slaw, loaded chicken fries topped with chicken and cheese, and its signature sauces. Merchandise will also be available for purchase.
Bun B, who will perform at the Rodeo for the fourth time on Friday, March 7, for Black Heritage Day, hinted in a statement that there are more surprises in store at this year’s Trill Town. “I’m not going to say that we’re going to do something special on March 7, after my Birthday Bonanza, but if you want to bring me a gift, that might be the place to bring it,” Bun B said in a video posted on Instagram.
The hip-hop mogul and his Trill team — which includes Andy Nguyen and Nick Scurfield, with co-executive chefs Mike Pham and Fernando Valladares — first debuted the burger three years ago at the Rodeo and typically posted up at the Rodeo’s Restaurant Row with various other vendors, but has since branched out. Trill Burgers’s standard burger combos will also be available inside NRG Stadium at its concessions in sections 115, 135, 522, and 548.
