Is it me or is Houston a ghost town this weekend?

Is there any particular reason that Houston feels so ghostly quiet this weekend? Or is it just me? Everywhere I've been has felt borderline abandoned lately. Even when I went to pick up Chinese last night, the owner there said that recently it feels like no one is out anymore.
