Bedbug Problem (need advice)

So i just found and popped a fat bloody BedBug in my bed at the halfway house im in (Northwest side of houston). I went to talk to the manager of the place and he told me that "every room has 1 or 2 of them but we keep them down to a minimum as we cant afford to exterminate the entire building and they move from room to room."

My family had a bedbug infestation years ago and it was hell, to be honest. I really really dont want to go through this nightmare again and my father wont even let me in his truck as there is no telling if i missed a bedbug egg or a single tiny one to go over and latch on to him.

I go back on my fathers insurance on the first of the year and can find a better sober living with Blue cross Blue shield than this place, and hopefully bug free. But in the meantime i need to get out of here before my clothes and everything get infested and i end up with a back that looks like a pepperoni pizza. I get 414$ every 2 weeks (next check is upcoming friday.) Is there anywhere i could afford to check into for 2 weeks while i wait for my insurance? The cheapest motel i could find was 265$ a week.
