Respect & Re-Humanize our Undocumented Immigrants

Our immigration system hasn’t meaningfully updated pathways to legal status since 1986—most undocumented people can’t “naturalize” without Congress reforming laws that politicians in both parties refuse to fix.

Blaming undocumented immigrants ignores how businesses lobby to keep labor cheap and our borders chaotic, while voters reward leaders who prioritize performative cruelty over actual solutions. Accountability starts with fixing the system, not scapegoating those it’s designed to fail.

MYTH: Most are drug and/or violent criminals FACT: Most are hardworking families found in churches, schools, and workplaces.

This will be devastating for our communities and our economy. Treating people with Humanity should not require an ID or citizenship.

Dehumanizing practices are against our American values… we established this country on the idea that there are unalienable rights & basic respect given to ALL humans at Birth, regardless of American citizenship. And when both parties have agreed for decades that our immigration system needs reform for more efficient legal pathways, then this decision comes off as barbaric, inhumane, and disrespectful.
