am i weird for going to the mall every weekend to meet people?

i’m 20 and i work from home so my social life is essentially nonexistent, but i’ve been living on this side of town for a few years now and one of my favorite places to frequent is the woodlands mall.

i go there almost every weekend in hopes of befriending at least one person but that never actually happens. instead, i get stared at and receive a few compliments on my looks here and there, all surface level encounters. i also don’t have the courage to approach others first, so i just shop around and leave.

i’m thinking of going again in a few hours but it’s starting to feel pointless and repetitive. i just want friends
