Haven’t been home in 5 years, what are some new places to check for?

Flying in to see the family next week, and I can't wait.

Definitely noshing on all of my childhood faves (Whataburger, Shipley's), even though last time I had Blue Bell I realized my taste in ice cream has gotten too rareified…

I've got about 4 days or so, 8-12 meals and possibly some snacks…

The list so far

Kolaches – Heading to The Original Kolache Shop on Telephone Road.

"Craft" BBQ – Trying to decide between Truth and Pinkerton (Killen's is 15 mins away from my family, but I'm trying to venture further out). Might consider a trek out to Tejas and Chocolate, but the reviews look mixed on it.

BBQ with a TwistBlood Bros BBQ vs Khoi – which one would you go to, and what would you get?

Viet Cajun – I'm leaning towards Crawfish and Noodles, but I've heard good things about Crawfish Cafe

Enchiladas – This and the main Houston sub have some good options. Anything other than Ninfa's on Navigation to check for?

Panaderia – What is your order from a panaderia?

Late Night Options – I'm sure I'm gonna end up at House of Pies at some point, but it's 1:30 am, where are you going and what are you eating?

Bellaire and the new Asia Town in Katy – Love Viet, Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese…pretty much everything East Asian and South East Asian. Any new bangers in the past 5 years?

Yemeni Style coffee – Never had it, but would like to try it. Leaning towards Qahwah House.

Anything else to check for?
