Centerpoint bad diagnosis caused us great expense, is there a claim process or some way to try and get some money back?
Long story short, about two weeks back we had a partial outage. Reported it online, Centerpoint came out, restored power(?) but left us with crazy strobing lights, unable to use appliances etc. (I have since heard they probably should have cut our power at this point but we were left on). We get an electrician involved, there's some back and forth. Blame was placed on the neutral wire underground on our property. So we dig a big trench, run new everything, new pole etc, takes almost two weeks with the snow and everything to get reconnected today. Well, lo and behold nothing is fixed and we are running crazy hot still. We are now in a series of escalating centerpoint technician crews coming out trying to work out what is going on.
Anyway, that trench was obviously very expensive, and as far as I can tell was not the source of the issues. But apparently we didn't start getting competent technician teams from centerpoint until we did the work to prove it wasn't us. Has anyone gone through a process like this before and is there some kind of claim process with centerpoint to try first or similar experiences?
