2021 Texan’s Coaching Dream Team
Was thinking about a dream coaching staff for next year, and this is what I consider a beyond excellent accumulation of great coaching minds which represents a great mix of proven veteran coaching experience and up and coming high energy well thought of coaching candidates:
Head Coach – Eric Bieniemy (should’ve been a HC last year, but inexplicably not tabbed by any other team, that’s everybody else’s loss and our incredible gain)
Offensive Coordinator – Anthony Lynn (as a head coach he’s just been absolutely snake bitten this year, which will lead to his unfortunate release. Once again, that only leads to a windfall to us. Having coached against Eric twice a year, they already have a certain level of familiarity with each other coaching-wise.)
QB Coach – Joe Bleymaier (Eric brings with him someone who’s familiar with the Chief’s passing game schemes, and has had a hand in coaching up Mahomie)
RB Coach – Stan Drayton (dude is a hella coach. His pupils are some of the best pass blocking rbs in college and NFL)
Offensive line coach – Bill Callahan (don’t know how to steal him from the Browns, but that would be a coup, maybe they give him a title of senior offensive assistant?)
Wide receivers coach – Mickey Joseph (dude coaches the heck out of the LSU WR’s, he should be given a chance to do the same with professional players)
Tight End Coach – Brian Ferentz (Iowa just knows how to develop tight ends, and Brian is a big reason for that).
Defensive Coordinator – Marvin Lewis (guy just knows how to coach defenses well beyond their individual abilities)
Defensive line coach/AHC – Rod Marinelli (great teacher, will be a mentor to the other defensive coaches other than Lewis. Together they’ll form a defensive coaching juggernaut. Gotta throw in the assistant head coach role to allow him to part from raiders without getting in trouble).
Linebackers Coach – Demeco Ryan (he comes back to where it all started for him. Incredibly smart by all accounts, dude was already a coach on the field when he was here. We’ll lose him after a year when he becomes a DC.)
Defensive Backs Coach – Kris Richard (how he’s not coaching this year is amazing. He likes the taller/longer DBs and will extract all the value that Lonnie, Gareon, and Hargreaves have lying in rest).
Special Teams Coach – keep who we have (really don’t have a good candidate for this spot, but it’s important).
Whatchu all think? Who would you add or change out?
