Until Digg’s injury, Texans were 9th in Red Zone TD%. They finished the season 28th

The other day I posted we were 28th in TD% in the Red Zone this year. A user mentioned how we were much better with Diggs which was true. I expected a big drop off obviously, but the drop off was much bigger than I expected.

• After 8 games: Texans were 9th in Red Zone TD% at 61.54%
• After 17 games: Texans finished the season 28th in Red Zone TD% at 48.44%.

This means from week 9-17, they were at best something like 33-35% TD% in the Red Zone

For context, the NYG were by far the worst team overall in the red zone. They had a Red Zone TD% of 43.18%. Next worst had 46.00%.

Texans from week 9-17 were magnitudes worse than even the worst teams. That's kinda incredible
