Conroe City Council makes changes to public comment procedures Mayor Duke Coon says he will not enforce

Conroe City Council voted to change the public comment procedures in a 3-1 vote during a Jan. 6 special meeting. Council member Howard Wood was absent and Mayor Pro Tem Harry Hardman voted against the agenda item. During the discussion of the changes, Mayor Duke Coon said he will not enforce the new rule–which will go into effect at the next council meeting–and will pay the $1,500 fine for violations himself.
