Is trading Will Fuller really a good idea?
I get the need for picks but I really can't comprehend how getting rid of the only receiver Watson trusts fully is going to help this team going forward, especially as we're entering a time that is make-or-break for Watson's development. Fuller is also up for a resigning, which is a good positive to shopping him but I'd rather cut Cooks, DJ and trade Stills.
The argument is picks. Fuller is worth a lot to us cus we know how good he can be, all NFL GM's are going to see is an injury prone player up for a resigning that has never had a season over 600 yards. It's 5th round at the minimum. Can we really substitute Fuller's production with a fifth round WR? I understand a package deal with JJ but I don't think that would even net us a first. There's no way we can trade anyone on this team for a first except for Deshaun.
I would argue that BoB hasn't just destroyed our future, he knows he's put us in a place of being unable to come back. No way we're recouping a first and any big player we have that is worth a first is getting a third at most. Sadly.
The best route is letting Fuller or Stills walk and getting the comp pick.
