Can the current Texans roster compete with the best in the conference?

The question I have for our FO. I understand our financial situation is kneecapping our ability to make massive movement, to the chagrin of the fanbase. With the current construction of the team, how realistic would it be to make a deep playoff run? Every season, we're inching closer and closer to that monster CJ contract. I would truly hate to get to a place as a team where we're just spinning our wheels in the mud.
