Therapist Recommendations anywhere around downtown? For 35M. I much prefer face to face.
I am currently going through quite a bit and I can white knuckle it and do great for a month or two. But then something usually happens and s**t gets real…quick. I am currently dealing with an approaching divorce and moving/splitting assets, last year my book of business was stolen by two close “family”members I chose to merge my firm with not two years prior (it was a huge ordeal and has done a good job breaking up parts of the family; think of a crossover between Suits and Maury lol). I found out not long after that that one of those family members also embezzled quite a bit from me, so a lawsuit has been filed and trial begins in 2025. My son whose 4 was diagnosed earlier this year as being on the spectrum and he has two twin sisters in 1st grade that are all gas no break haha. And to add the cherry on top, I’m battling some addiction issues that have progressed semi recently.
I am giving you these details because I finally got the courage to just pick a therapist and go about 4-5 months ago and at the end of our second session I was told she believed I needed a higher level of care and didn’t really give great guidance on how to find that. Atm I was a little taken back so I might have missed a recommendation.
And just to be clear I’m not looking for your sympathies (you can give me an upvote though lol I suck at getting Karma) but I gotta believe one of you Houston Redditors know a great match for me and my life obstacles. If you think you know someone that might be a good fit, please ask them if you could provide their #. I know this was an over share but I don’t want to have to do this again after a session or two. It didn’t feel great hearing that my problems were too big for her. She was a tad younger though and I did not research before booking the appointment.l
