New Fan

Hello everyone! I’m brand new to MLB (just started watching during the post season) & I’m from Baton Rouge, La. We don’t have home team here & im one to normally go for the home team (Saints, Pelicans, LSU) so I’m trying to find a team. I’ve had some people tell me to root for the Astros since they are the closest team to me (4hrs) in the event I ever wanted to attend a game. Do you think I should go about choosing a team this way or is there anything else I should be looking at? I’m not one to just root for a team just because they are good or just because they suck which is why I just stick to home teams. Now I have been watching some Astros game replays online & I do like what I see. I like the colors of the uniforms & everything. Just trying to make sure I’m not missing anything. From what I’ve seen so far I’m glad I finally started introducing myself to MLB because it’s actually been great from what I’ve seen thus far! Can’t wait to fully indulge in the season for next year!
