The all-day restaurant brings its made-to-order burgers to Richmond, and four more locations are on their way

Austin’s family-owned, all-day burger joint P. Terry’s opened its first Houston area location in Richmond on Wednesday, October 16, bringing the retro burger stand to the Houston area for the first time.

Located on 9207 FM 723 Road in the same area as an H-E-B, the new P. Terry’s features a double drive-thru for to-go orders, dine-in seating, and a patio. Like its other restaurants, the Houston area locale offers its classic menu of made-to-order burgers, hand-spun milkshakes, hand-cut fries, freshly squeezed lemonade, and a lineup of baked goods, including whole wheat banana bread and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

Married couple Patrick and Kathy Terry launched the first P. Terry’s in July 2005, incorporating decor inspired by the 1950s and 1960s for a timeless feel. The Austin-born chain, which now has 35 locations around Texas, prides itself on serving made-to-order burgers using fresh Angus beef that’s never frozen and ingredients free from preservatives, hormones, and antibiotics.

P. Terry’s plans to open at least four other locations include a second in Richmond, two in the Spring area, and an outpost in Village Green at Bridgeland Central, a 70-acre mixed-use development in Cypress. Construction for the P. Terry’s in Cypress will begin in 2025; the development is also slated to welcome other dining establishments like Jonathan’s the Rub, Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe, Crust Pizza Co., and Gelato & Co.

P. Terry’s is located at 9207 FM 723 Road in Richmond; open from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays, and from 8 a.m. to midnight on Sundays.
