Any cat related events/locations/etc in Houston?

My mother's birthday is coming up early November and she loves cats more than anything. She loves volunteering at shelters and there's a handful of garden stores she loves visiting just because she knows they have cats roaming. Anyone know of any cat related events around the time or some place in Houston where someone can just play and cuddle with a bunch of cats?
