I voted yesterday in the Heights and was out in under ten minutes, no fusses, nobody to pester me! My backup choice, a mile or two away, was similarly uncrowded…

The church on 11th St. at TC Jester and White Oak Bayou had ten bays for drive-in voting, with about twenty cars in line. That line moved slow. Inside, however, I only waited behind one person and there were just under ten people at about 25 voting booths. Without straight ticket voting, things moved just a little more slowly. My backup voting site, the SPJST Lodge on Beall between 14th and 15th Sts. was back up and running, after having been closed during the primaries. There was very little traffic there, too.
