Despite all the negativity, I think Verlander should start in the playoffs

I think we need to ride or die with our guy JV. I know it’s not about feelings and emotions in the playoffs but I’m not sure how you just don’t pitch the guy with the experience he has. Even if it’s only a 3 inning opening.

He still throws heat, he’s still deceptive, he’s just struggled a bit with the neck injury which I can relate to as a former pitcher. You don’t realize how much you use your neck until you injure it.

Verlander deserves to be pissed if he doesn’t get the ball in the playoffs for all the blood sweat and tears he’s put into previous playoff runs and the fact that he’s still a solid pitcher.

Tldr: he should start in the playoffs. He’s still got solid stuff. Neck injuries suck. He’s contributed too much to this team to just leave him off the playoff rotation.
