How does Houston not have a big theme park already???
I’ve been collecting my frustration for the past couple years over this, so vent warning ahead.
How does Houston genuinely have no theme park to its name? It’s the fourth largest city in the country and it doesn’t even have a Six Flags or Cedar Park. All we have is Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Island Pleasure Pier if you want to really stretch it. All of the good theme parks are 3+ hours away. And all we get is new “kidde” parks and water parks. I just don’t understand. We had a six flags back in the 80s right next to the astrodome but I wasn’t around back then and it got demolished. Why won’t a theme park work for Houston, we can we possibly be this big without a summertime staple like this? The tallest Rollercoaster ive been on in Houston are the carnival ones at the rodeo?!?! Once again, how do we not have a theme park for a city this big?!?!
